Adam King 27/09/20

Portrait session with Adam King.

Adam recently accomplished Camino De Santiago which travels 500 miles through four of Spain’s 15 regions which ends at the very known Cathedral of Santiago De Compostela in Galicia.

Working hard as a commercial photographer Adam thought it would be a great start to a new chapter in life.

As a photographer it was only the right thing to do and ask Adam to take a series of portraits to document his life as an archive for him as well for myself.

After not doing portraits for a while I wanted to keep it simple with a white background this was also to draw all the attention onto Adam. Hint of a shadow behind him may come across as unprofessional but remember simplicity always over complication.

Personal documentary - 2020

Ahhh yes! It is finally here. Documentary on me can you believe? I have dreamed of this for such a long time. I spend countless hours watching other peoples documentaries but finally I have my own. It will go down in history, I feel super blessed and appreciated things are only going up from here.

Misc AKA Nathaniel and I spent three days in total shooting this and he has done a very good job, super talented videographer and director. I would like to give a massive shout out to my beautiful girlfriend for being my model and shout out to Tom OBH for helping out with creative ideas and filming.

Video is currently uploaded on Vimeo for quality purposes.

Jurij- 5/02/20

I met Jurij a long time ago as he is a friend of my step dad but only last year I became good friends with him when I started my new part time job.

Jurij was very curious in my craft and always asks me how is it going and enjoys seeing my work which lead me to the question to ask him wether he would be interested in part taking d allowing me to photograph him for my portfolio.

He loved the idea so much he wanted to be involved as much as possible so he took into consideration all of the ideas I told him and we came up with the concept of making him look like he is part of the ‘Mafia’ or a ‘gang-star’.

I photographed Jurij in his living room with just a white backdrop, two soft boxes, Mamiya C330, tripod and Ilford HP5 (box speed). After we got the shots we wanted we went outside to enjoy the sunset and the clouds that were forming allowing me to create some moody shots.
