Katie Fotis 31/01/20

I had the chance to photograph Katie Fotis today in my studio. Shot on digital as I was given only half an hour. It feels like a small world when only a couple of weeks ago I had to write up a research page on Katie Fotis in my sketchbook at college. We are currently working on a commercial brief which is allowing us to photograph product or models. To make the photograph more interesting to look at we have to put into consideration what its like to work with others like a make up artist, stylist, set designer etc.

Katie Fotis is a Art Director and Professional Set Designer. She has worked with many big brands like Chanel, Adidas, Puma, Luxury Magazine, Sony, Eastpak and many more. Worked with  numerous professional photographers, models, stylists and other artists. Making her a perfect example for someone to look up to in the creative industry.

I am super grateful for this quick session to be able to archive some great portraits of a local talent and huge inspiration to me and many more. If anyone is interested in seeing her actual work then please check out her website.

Riddim Central Part 2 ” Cellar session”

‘I had about 50/60 people in all night! This is my second event first one being in Ramsgate music hall sold out and was packed from start to Finnish. I set up this one at alberrys as I wanted to try something a lot different instead of a big venue. More of a small vibesey cellar to give off that underground/natty feel to hip-hop and dnb’ - Patty Royer

Massive shout out to Patty Royer for allowing me to come along and photograph his show he put on and did an amazing job behind the decks at a HIP-HOP and DNB night

The group that goes by ‘Klergy’ shutdown Canterbury last night giving it its best with the local talent. Really enjoyed myself and got shown loads of love by everyone, the small cellar made everyone so close making the energy of the show more lively. Got to see some new faces and some old faces showing support.

The cheeky chappy ‘Saul T Waters’ hyping everyone up with his crazy energy along side ‘Frekly’ showing his natural MC talent making everyone go along with their music. Looking forward to the next one and working with some new people who I got in contact with.

Amsterdam 2018

In the year 2018, I go to visit Holland for the first time when I travelled there to see my older cousin. I have always wanted to visit Amsterdam to see the astonishing architecture, to visit some of the worlds most exquisite museums and lastly to enjoy the nightlife.
After a long trip from Calais, I finally arrived with my family and we went to go meet my cousin close to where he was living. After everyone greeted with him we were on our way to central, I only bought my old canon 1100d and prime 50mm for the day to just do a bit of documentary.
Walking around now for about twenty minutes I started to get a lot more comfortable with the scenery and just snapping away and this was when I came across to this amazing looking builidng. After taking a few shots the door opened and this amazing guy walked out and started to laugh and talk to me about what Amsterdam is all about and said not to photograph the building anymore and just focus on him and this is how I managed to capture some beautiful portraits within the first hour of being in Amsterdam.
Whenever anyone asked me what is Amsterdam like or would I recommend it I always show them this small series of photos to remind myself of an amazing time there as well as to show them in what my opinion describes it the most. I hope to visit Amsterdam very shortly again in the summer and to stay out there for a longer period to get a good feel of the place and the people.
